Francois Chidaine has built a reputation as a great organic grower-producer in the appellation of Montlouis just across the river from Vouvray.
A wild-fermented rose that is deep in colour predominately made from Grolleau, with the remainder Pinot Noir and Gamay. Red currants, a sprinkle of herbs, a little oxidative salinity, and dusty chalky tannins for a drying finish. Think a very light red that is complex and delicious!

Who is Francois Chidaine?
Heralded as one of France’s most electrifying white wine makers, Francis set out to challenge the traditional styles that made Montlouis and Vouvray so famous. His meticulous approach to winemaking creates pure and vivid expressions of his wines’ terroirs. Working with biodynamic vineyards using hands-off élevage producing ultra low yields, Francis is best known for his Chenin Blanc.
