Steffi Yayoi Snook's Chenin Blanc is an ode to the wines of the Loire Valley—where the winemaker's self-confessed obsession with the variety began.
A lovely perfume of white and yellow flowers greets you here, before leading you down the garden path to the palate laden with custard apple, white pear and lemon curd, with a delightfully chalky feel adding to the wine's structure and back end. A fantastic example of the variety from an up-and-coming winemaker to keep an eye on.
Grown in small amounts in Victoria, Steffi turned to the third-generation growers, the Brini family in SA's Blewitt Springs to source the Chenin Blanc for this wine.
