Bright and crunchy with cherry pips, cranberry and drops of boysenberry that shine through along with some trademark Sangiovese dusty tannin, and crispy acidity

There’s texture to make all the white peach and nectarine feel almost visible, and it’s all smooth thanks to some driven vanilla cream notes.

Stoney Rise Coal River Valley Chardonnay 2024

The tannins are dusty, earthy spices, and high-toned acidity. This is old school, but it’s still holding onto a little, effortless, cool vibe. Great at dinner parties. Drink it while the sunsets, and in between pieces of cheese you cut that’s too big for the cracker.

Carlos Sanchez Bienlarme Lágrimas Bellas Rioja 2022

Fermented entirely in stainless steel to let the Grigio take centre stage and taste just like how you want Grigio from King Valley to taste, with that stone fruit, some sublime pear, and gentle acidity.

Santolin Pinot Grigio 2023

This feels like a wine that’s showing off a lot of charming assets. From the green apple snap and zest of lemon citrus to the light mealy note from some time on lees, along with the chalky pith that is almost palpable, and dipped in salt. If you ever wished your Muscadet had some effervescence, this is the wine for you.

Zudugarai Getariako Txakolina 2023

There’s texture here and plenty of grip that adds charming length. Don’t worry though, it’s soft enough and full of stone fruits and some honey. It’s wine for LoFi lovers, and devotees to the radikal skin contact wines of Friuli.

From the guitarist, Matthew Aulich who was a founding member of Hobart band The Paradise Hotel, comes an annual hit that’s full of red frogs, red cherries and currants. It’s super good with a lazy summer evening pizza, and you can even put it in the fridge to dial up the refreshment.

Blood Moon Sang de Etoiles Sangiovese 2024

Pours with plenty of green herbs, crunchy tart citrus and some sleek texture that makes for a little slip and glide. So if you are looking for a local but Loire Valley varietal wine, this is the best of both worlds.

Gant & Co Sur Lie Sauvgnon Blanc Semillon

Drinking this conjures up images of a crisp green apple peel, ribboning out of a peeler. There’s also a little green nashi pear and layers of refreshing pith, fresh acid, and white pepper that comes through with the mineral feels.

Take one to see what all the fuss is about, and a second to really enjoy all the delightful, lengthy lemon-lime driven dreaminess. Complete with some cool-season depth and freshness, this is the prince of BYO – especially if you’re hungry for curry and tikkas. Yum!

Very much on the bright side for Sangiovese, complete with all the black and red cherries, and a lot of dusty tannins. Some wines are just honest in the best way and taste and behave, true to style. Pair it with any Tuscan specialty at lunch – Pappardelle with pork.

Cab. Franc. It’s ‘IN’ at the moment, and why wouldn’t it be? Value-laden, and full of a firm but balanced tannin that’s kept fresh with red currants and a smidge of herbaceous beetroot and lengthhhhhhhhhh. Thought-provoking, delicious, and from a winemaker who’s making everyone stand-up and take notice.

Alessandro Stefani Franc Cabernet Franc 2022

Ripe currants and earthy spices. Things feel ripe here, but never too dense, it’s easy-drinking French red. La Buvette has to go well with bavette (flank steak) right? Boil your spuds that night/morning before the meal for extra crunch and deliciousness, this is wine for tumblers, and not the goose neck kind. Plays well out of the fridge thanks to all the juicy notes.

Castelmaure La Buvette Grenache Carignan NV

This is another multi-generational banger that'll suit every family member at the lunch/dinner table, especially if the BBQs on and your best griller has the tongues. We love it for the chewy tannins and generosity of the fruit. It also just feels exactly like a McLaren Vale Grenache blend should, whilst still being original, and creative.

Very violety and full of the floral charm to backup all the red fruited substance, and a little nutty tannin. There's depth and savoury intent, this absolutely punching above it's $. Don't be scared to get a crust on that porterhouse, blanch some spring beans and ubereats in some maccas fries you'll have yourself a grand ól time!

Pretty peonies and rose petals blossom in every glass so pour, pour, pour away until your heart’s hydrated and the bottle’s empty. Hits with some chalky tannin and a little bright, but fleshy fruit.
