Left on vine a little later thanks to a cooler site before destemming and natural ferment in two French oak casks followed by a combined, single barrel maturation of 10 months. It all comes together for some raspberry licorice florals and a jubey feel to the palate. The tannins then work like cooling coils and there’s a l nice amount of spice in every glass to keep it long and interesting.

We’re in on that alone, but there’s also a sturdy backbone of compact stone fruit and a nice citrussy-sherbety pull of acidity to keep you energised over the warmer months. We recommend pouring this into a fishbowl-sized wine glass, giving it a little swirl and savouring everything it has to offer. Superb modern Chardonnay that also deserves some space in the cellar.

Both varieties kicked off fermentation on skins before being pressed and combined mid-ferment. The resulting wine is bright, brisk, and very refreshing with a tense line from the Chenin driving this into the berried and herbal nature of the Shiraz. This could absolutely handle a chill.

Not only is there a dog on the label but what we have here is a straight-up, delicious Tempranillo, and we couldn't be happier about it. Fruit-forward and oh-so plush, with cherry berries, chocolate, and a smidge of tar-like tannin amongst a flash of herbs that go particularly well with a few lamb chops on the BBQ. Did we mention there is a dog on the label?

A little extra richness here thanks to time on lees, and some lip balm on nose, then bee brush, some ripe stone fruit and green apple in the glass. Jumping Juice continues to impress.
