Partida Creus BB La Cerrailla 2021

LoFi with good power, but it’s poised and comes full of fine tannins woven amongst all the flavours of sappy bramble fruit, cherry cola, plum and plum skin, and dried herbs. There’s a lot of very moreish umami here that your favourite chef would love you having such easy access to.

Partida Creus GT Garrout 2020

Some reduction upon opening blows of to reveal layers of spice. Firm tannins in the glass envelope some pink peppercorn spice and small, red berries with a bright line of acidity peeking through.

Orange amaro on the nose mingles with plum and warming baking spice to set the scene, before red and black berries alongside some chalky tannin take over in the glass. A lovely expression hailing from higher altitude vines on the Mediterranean coast that'll pair perfectly with pretty much anything you can think of chucking on the BBQ.

This wine oozes charisma, with a little roughness around the edges—in all the right ways—there's a little olive brine salinity alongside tropical peach fuzz notes. Delicious.

An ever-changing blend, this year's iteration of Tinto Naturel features Sumoll, Bobal and Ull de Liebre (known around these parts as Tempranillo). Partida Creus TN Tinto Naturel 2020

Very delicious and very limited! Garrut, the Catalonian name for Monastrell (more commonly known here as Mataro), is more structured with some light reduction, that blows off quickly to reveal wild strawberry, savoury notes of charcuterie and a firm salinity is met with plenty of texture and character. Today, working with abandoned Montonega and Sumoll vines, some of which are 100 years old, each vineyard is carefully tended to, adjusting to its individual needs. This Tinto blend is made from biodynamically farmed Sumoll and Garnacha which was fermented in a mixture of amphorae and open-top fermenters and bottled without any sulphur additions. It's savoury and rustic, with a core of wild red berries, tea tree honey, worn leather, and earthy spice framed by chalky tannins. A great side-step for lovers of Nebbiolo and Nerello Mascalese

Els Jelipins Sumoll Grenache 2016

Rich, freshly fruited Grenache Blanc from vineyard plots around the village of Gandesa. Perfumed orchard fruit aromatics lead into a hint of barrel spice, custard apple, feijoa, and earthy quince, with a beautiful acidity.
