Ancient Trentino grape, Nosiola, spent an extended period on skins and was aged in amphora, creating a nuanced, yet unmistakable fresh wine. Distinct aromas of elderflower and nettles precede bright acidity on the palate, a touch of spice, and a satisfying lengthy finish. Splash this in a decanter to let the wine breathe a little before drinking. Drink cool, not cold.

Rusty, flinty notes evolve into a palate of white peaches and hibiscus, complemented by enduring salinity.

This wine is somewhat of a happy accident, after relenting hail storms in 2017 destroyed 40% of Foradori’s harvest, leading her to experiment with the remaining fruit in various batch tests; some went into amphorae, some in wood, cement, or steel. And so, Lezèr—meaning light—was born. The resulting bright, lifted red has become a staple, continuing to evolve year after year, but always bringing lightness and ultimate drinkability to the fore. Unpretentious and such fun to drink, while retaining the signature Foradori deftness and complexity.
