Traditionally from the Friuli-Venezia regions in Northern Italy, here’s a fantastic local rendition of Verduzzo from Bobar. This is enveloping with some skinsy tannin richness, plenty of citrus peels and golden apple flavours that come through with cinnamon and sandalwood.

Upper Yarra restraint and depth here, but it’s still juicy like red cherries, plums and cola nut. Preheat your oven, and dust that chook in peri-peri and garlic. The wine also seems coated in earthy tannins and will win hearts at all potlucks.

Thought-provoking and pleasure-giving. This is a cool wine that’s not afraid to look over the edge – see the tangy blood-orange essence notes as an example. Of course, there’s also wild strawberry and plum skins. We're calling it, this is a hit.

Mayer Close Planted Pinot Noir 2024

A serious wine made from the younger plantings that Yeringberg have in their vineyards. Expect almond blossom, honeysuckle, a little flint, and a savoury edge that makes it perfect with 99% of the food pyramid, which includes cheeses, crisps and sushi.

Yeringberg Babyberg White Blend Marsanne Roussanne 2023

Sauvignon Blanc with a bright point of difference thanks to 28 days on skins. Good things are happening at El’More right now and this is another approachable and amazing wine you should drink in the park. Flows with lime leaf, stone fruit and chalky grip.

Elmore Sauvignon Blanc 2024

Plucked from red soils and fermented mostly destemmed, but all as one ferment. It’s Classic Yarra flightiness and lift right here. That means florals and flavour that have a nice concentration, plus balanced oak and subtle bunchy spice with tannins that build and expand into (and beyond) your second glass.

First Foot Forward Pinot Noir 2023

Each precious vessel gets 800 of litres of YV juice and comes out with a firmer, structural feel which is offset by some subtle grassy notes and enough citrus to keep things crisp. It’s an impressive local side-step for those Loire Valley blanc lovers out there.

Pink grapefruit, lime, rockmelon, and plenty of delicate, fine-boned cashew-oak thread running through to spread some deliciousness joy. A great wine to buy when you don’t know which side of the Chardonnay fence they sit on.

Earthy nose and pleasant orange essence. Some cherry and a profile that’s in a great spot if you like savoury Pinots. Lots of old-school Yarra Valley charm but without the sweetness.

Yering Farm Duck Down Under Pinot Noir 2020

Fruit was fully destemmed and left in Slavonian oak for 18 months. The structure here is all about the fine bone delicate feel, bricky tannins and some ripe cherry. The tail is savoury and chalky, and while full of adventurous spirit. It's also a seriously lovely drop.

Alessandro Stefani La Vignola Sangiovese 2022

Soft richness with a snapped-off piece of nougat and a peachy fruit feel that’s almost palpable and fades into your mood and takes over in the best way, like the Mazzy Star song that inspired this note. It’s refreshing and comforting so it’s perfect for opening before sunset and finishing in the dark.

Hirsch Hill Chardonnay 2023

Juicy goodness that Lofi without being too Lofi. Pressed whole cluster and spends 72 hours on skins, it’s pithy, appley and citrusy in a way that makes you smile and want to eat. We recommend the park, a couch, or a house party as the ideal settings.

Greenhouse Knight Riesling 2023

The majority of the fruit underwent malolactic fermentation with some stirring to build texture and the result is delicious wine with a creamy feel and plenty of lime, a pinch of oak spice and a tight tensile line of acidity.

Rob Hall Chardonnay 2023

First of all, it smells delicious and with all its macerated raspberry, cherry and strawberry, it drinks without a care in the world. It’ll also work with just a little chill which is great because we’re hoping summer will take over autumn and run into winter.

It’s all citrus, white florals, lemongrass and talc. It’ll go perfectly with a rewatching of that film you both love.

Pours a great ruby that’s fresh with aromatics. This is classic light Yarra Valley Pinot and a bargain. Buy to enjoy the crisp but ripe cherry juice, autumn leaves, and a little raspy whole-bunch tannin in every drop, no wonder why it’s an instant hit every year.

A lighter-in-style Pinot, loaded with bright, crunchy red fruit and moreish acidity, with some smokey, chewy whole bunch notes adding to the interest and savoury nature of the wine.
