Grown in one of our favourite Yarra Valley subregions, Dixons Creek, this is a cool climate-styled Shiraz that’s full of true-to-style dark fruits like violets and dark plums, whilst still being easy-drinking in the Bistro way – just like that inspiring Syrah we loved in the Rhône Valley too long ago.

A delicious blend of Fiano that saw four days on skins and whole bunch-pressed Pecorino has resulted in what can only be described as golden hour in a bottle. In the glass, expect floral jasmine and acacia alongside golden orchard fruits, touches of ripe pear and a luscious texture. A perfect match with prosciutto-wrapped melon, spicy Southeast Asian dishes or just a friend at sunset.

If it were French, they’d call it vin de soif style Pinot Noir, meaning it’s a thirst-quenching delight that’s for drinking now at the park with a modest cheeseboard, rather than out of a decanter you can’t bear to watch others handle. So expect fun flavours, like cherries and berries wrapped in sheer tannins and acidity. Perfect, just as it is.

Perfect, right down to the clean, delicious drive that’s bursting with green apple, citrus blossom, and a hint of honeysuckle. It gets along swimmingly with Campari and Aperol if you're feeling particularly spritzy.

What-a-Melon might form the basis of some unique and beautiful trade economy for Owen Latta. Fruit is from four growers (he’s one), that farm all over west/central Victoria before the fruit gets whole bunch fermentation and 9 months on lees. The result is a refreshing, delicious rosé that’s full of red fruit, watermelon rinds and impressive joy.

Plucked from red soils and fermented mostly destemmed, but all as one ferment. It’s Classic Yarra flightiness and lift right here. That means florals and flavour that have a nice concentration, plus balanced oak and subtle bunchy spice with tannins that build and expand into (and beyond) your second glass.

Each precious vessel gets 800 of litres of YV juice and comes out with a firmer, structural feel which is offset by some subtle grassy notes and enough citrus to keep things crisp. It’s an impressive local side-step for those Loire Valley blanc lovers out there.

It’s like drinking masterful Pinot, just with some weight-bearing silk and lithe which gives all the red fruit heaps of delicious, loving, glide. Made with a delicious blend of Merlot, Shiraz and Malbec.
