There is a nice LoFi edge to this wine and also notes of chewy tropical green mango to offer something different, but not entirely foreign, for Vermentino.

Classic and pretty Beechworth style, complete with the rich edges and even a little oak spice for good measure. Underwent full MLF and 10 months maturation to make for a great winter Chardonnay. Labels drawn by Waldo himself to showcase the vineyard geology.

Along with flavours of raspberry, blackcurrant and a zesty acidity, this has a little vermouth-like snap to it. Great aperitivo wine that can be chilled if you like.

From the north end of Burgundy – just east of Chablis. Pear drop and a good line of clarity. The French called it Aligoté but we just call it the perfect sunny-day wine. This has Meyer lemon, nectarine and texture too, with seashell. Seems made for oysters.

Destemmed Vermentino and a little Riesling was left to ferment for four weeks, resulting in a long and soft palate that’s full of citrussy tang. Drinks with a lime-sorbet sort of flavour.

These are the kind of wines that’ll have detouring on your next trip to Sicily so you can walk through vines/lava fields and see where and how it all happens. Wines from Etna are extraordinary, especially when they’re silky with red/blue fruits, black pepper and a salty, savoury chewy finish like this one. Deserves some cellaring.

Gigondas is a slice of winey heaven 90 minutes north of Marseilles in the Southern Rhône where the Grenache is bold, rich and elegant. Santa Duc takes Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault from various places in the sub-region to shape a wine that simultaneously speaks to the area, and the Domaine’s interpretation.
